Akshaya Tritiya 2020
Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most popular festivals in India, celebrated by the Hindus and Jain every year. It is an auspicious day because Lord Parasurama was born on the day. The Hindu community considered Akshaya Tritiya a lucky day and believes that any venture like business or construction on that day can bring prosperity and betterment. Akshaya Tritiya is considered as the golden day of the year because the word ‘Akshaya’ stands for ‘Eternal’ which never diminishes. Starting any new work is considered to bring good fortune on this very day. Many Hindus purchase gold on this day because it brings a good fortune.
Wedding ceremony is also organized with a hope to bring happy life journey for the couple. It is still believed that people who born on Akshaya Tritiya are lucky and shine bright all throughout their lives. The Jain community celebrates the day to commemorate Tirthankara Rushabhanatha which is ending of a year fast by consuming sugarcane juice.

Akshaya Tritiya is also known as ‘Akha Teej’. On this auspicious day, Hindus organize a special worship, take bath in holy rivers, make some charities and worship Lord Ganesh & Devi Lakshmi.
A puja of goddess Vaibhav Laxmi along with Sudarshan Chakra and Kuber Yantra brings prosperity. Lord Vishnu’s consort is worshiped to bring the sense of protection in the life. Both Vishnu and Lakshmi goddess are considered a divine source of energy. Many devotees organize a day-long Kubera Lakshmi havan in which goddess Vaibhavlaxami along with Sudarshan Chakra and Kuber Yantra are worshiped together. It is believed that the puja endows the devotee with sustenance, attainment and constant growth of physical, material and spiritual wealth. On the very day, Til Tarpan to deities and ancestors helps negate negative energy.
